MLA Bibliographic Style Sheet

Picture
The School District of Philadelphia supports MLA as the style which students should learn and use for research papers, or other instances when you must list the source where you found your information.

When collecting bibliographic data from your source, look for the following:
  • Author
  • Title of Book, Magazine, Data Base, or Web Site
  • Title of Article
  • Publisher
  • Copyright Date
  • Volume
  • Page Numbers Used

To see samples of various citations, download the PAS Library file: MLA Bibliographic Citation Style Sheet.

To create your own citations online, choose one of the citation makers found on the Research Tools portal linked here or from the Student Links page.
